Wife of William W. Latham. Mother of Christine, Michael, and Steven.Mary Lou Hoover was born the daughter of Lester Raymond Hoover and Dorothy Peyton Oliphant. They are buried in Circle Grove Buchanan County, Iowa. Mary Lou was the youngest child of the family amd was teased and spoiled by her big brother Dean. Her family consisted of Donna Pauline Hoover Wright, Charles Raymond Hoover, twin unnamed sisters, Dean Myron Hoover and Mary Lou Hoover.

~0bit~Mary Lou Latham was born March 27, 1935 near Rowley, Iowa, daughter of Lester Raymond and Dorothy Peyton Oliphant Hoover. She attended school at Rowley, Troy Mills and Quasqueton, Iowa. She married George Edward Jellison on March 15, 1953 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He died May 9, 1954 near Munich, Germany. She moved to Bourbonnais, Illinois and graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 1955. Mary Lou was united in marriage to William (Bill) Wesley Latham on May 17, 1958 at Nashua, Iowa. Mary Lou was employed at the Olivet Nazarene University, retiring last November. Bill died of a heart attack July 2, 1990 at their home in Bourbonnais. Mary Lou died at her home on November 15, 1990, of a brain tumor following an illness of one year. Mary is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and David Richard of Bourbonnais; two sons, Michael and Steven Latham of Kankakee; three grandsons, Michael Richard, Jeremy and Tristan Latham; one sister, Donna Wright of Waterloo, Iowa; two brothers, Charles Hoover of Independence, Iowa; Dean Hoover of Walker, Iowa and a step-brother, Rev. Norman Bloom of Bourbonnais, Illinois. Funeral services were held November 17, 1990 in Bourbonnais with burial in Maternity Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
