Lillian, 82, of Catherine Creek Rd, Hobbsville, died in the Skills Nursing Facility Chowan Hospital. She was a retired nurse (Chowan Hospital and Britthaven Nursing Home in Edenton); member of Warwick Baptist Church. Predeceased by her parents: James W. & Catherine "Katie" Asbell Goodwin; her husband, W. T. "Tommie" Spivey Sr; sisters: Frances Hollowell & Gladys Jordan; brothers, James Goodwin and Kay Goodwin; and stepdaughters, Elizabeth Wiggins, Lillian Parker and Ruth Umphlett. Survived by daughter, Gloria S. Twine and husband Graham of Hobbsville; sons: W. Thomas Spivey Jr. and wife Audrey of Hobbsville and James Herbert Spivey and wife Alice of Elizabeth City; stepdaughter, Hazel S. Bass of Hobbsville; sisters: Eva G. Modlin of Sunbury, Syble G. Abrams of Norfolk, and Doris Jean Jackson of Virginia Beach; brothers: Dr. Frederick L. Goodwin of Oregon and Floyd Goodwin of Suffolk; 7 grandchildren; 10 G-grandchildren, several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren.
