Mr. Ronald Pitchford, of Hartford Arkansas, died Friday, December 17,2010, at his home. Mr. Pitchford was 81 years, 10 months and 5 days old. He was a member of the Hartford 1st Baptist Church; a livestock dealer; an AIR FORCE veteran of the Korean Confilct and a big fan of the Hartford Hustler.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Madeline (Bakey) Paxon and Francis Jones; his parents; and 3 brothers: James G. Pitchford, Leon Pitchford; and John Pitchford.
Mr. Pitchford is survived by 3 daughters: Rhonda Kralicek and Alisia Scallions, both of Fort Smith and Nancy Mixon of Hartford, and their mother, Irene Pitchford of Fort Smith; and a fourth daughter, Katie Pitchford of Hartford; one sister, Mary Barnes of Burkburnett, TX; a brother, Wendell Pitchford of Hartford; four grandchildren, Randa Russel and her husband, Steven, Garrett and Kayla Mixon and McKale Scallions; and three great grandchildren, Kyler, Levi, and Allison Russell.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at the 1st Baptist Church at Hartford. He was laid to rest at Hartford Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were: Harry Padgett, Bob Rosso, Carl Hoopengarner, Ted Pickle, Bud Glidewell, and Terry Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers were his grandsons and great-grandsons.
