Deacon Thurston Holman, D.D. (Lieut. David Edward- Solaman), son of Lieut. David and Lucy (Thurston) Holman, was born Apr. 27, 1775, at Sutton, Mass., and died Apr. 18, 1836, at Hague, N. Y. He married Submit Park, who was born in Mass. or R. I., and died aged ninety-three years.

He moved from Sutton, Mass., and settled at Hague, N. Y., with his eldest brother, John. Thurston's books and other belongings were burned, — the house was half log and half frame. An old chest was saved, which was left by Lucy Holman Rand in house of Nathan Brooks' wife, at Schroon, N. Y. (Dr. Emory Dunn, her nephew, at Schroon, could give particulars.)

Thurston Holman had charge of roads, Dist. No. 1, Apr., 1827. He had two children born before coming to Hague, 1802-03.
