Husband of Dulcina (Wells) Nickell, married April 06, 1845.

He was the son of Isaac Nickell and Marraida (Brown) Nickell.

He served as a Union Captain in the Civil War. He was in the 54th., Kentucky Infantry in Company A. He fought with the North.

He is the ancestor of most Mocabee's, Goodan's and other well known Families of Rowan County, Kentucky. He lived in the Elliottsville area.
