Born to Lawrence A. and Jessie Brown Alexander, Laurene married John Henry Taylor on Dec. 7, 1935, in Lincoln. He survives in Lewistown.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jon (Jone) Barrett of East Peoria; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Bev) Jones of Havana; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
She worked for Pease's Candy in Springfield.
Graveside services will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
