***MRS. ELMER NELSON***
Mrs. Elmer Nelson, 71, of 426 4th Ave., N., died about midnight Monday in Jane Lamb hospital, where she had been a patient for three weeks. She had been in failing health for several weeks.
The body is at the Snell funeral home, where friends may call. Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. M. E. Lester officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park.
The former Katherine Christiansen was born March 10, 1883, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. She came here with her parents at the age of two and attended local schools, residing here since. She married Adam Kramer on June 28, 1905, and he died in 1907. Her marriage to N. M. Nelson took place April 15, 1912. He proceeded her in death in 1950.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, the order of Eastern Star No. 65 and the American Legion Auxillary.
She is survived by two sons, Russell of Fulton, Ill., and LeRoy Nelson of Clinton, a daughter, Mrs. L. L. (Jeanette) Hoffmann Jr., of Clinton; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Donie Carlson, Clinton.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elmer Nelson, 71, of 426 6th Ave. N., who died Monday, were held today at 2 p.m. In the Snell funeral home. Rev. M. E. Lesher officiated, and burial was in Clinton Memorial Park.
Mrs. Henrietta Knop was the vocalist, and Mrs. Effie Grumstrup was at the organ.
Pallbearers were Soren Juhl, Alvin Nelson, Nels Balle, Louise Kirst, Herman Boerema and Allen Jensen.
Attending from out of town were Mr and Mrs Orville Healess and Lauren Kramer from Belott, Wis.
Mrs. Nelson was proceeded in death by her parents, both her husbands and two sons, including Marvin Kramer, who died during WWII.
