Robert B. Alexander, 86, Dies at Weatherford
WEATHERFORD. March 14 - R. B. Alexander. 86. died Wednesday morning at his home in Weatherford.

A pioneer fruit grower here. Alexander at one time had more than 2.000 acres in peach trees in Parker and Palo Pinto Counties. He was horn in Cherokee County. and moved to Weatherford in 1906. Survivors include two daughters; Miss Maida Alexander of Weatherford and Mrs. John L. Clements of Denver. Colo., a son, Ralph K. Alexander of Houston; and two step-daughters. Miss Pearl Laughter and Miss Vernon Laughter, both of Dallas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Grace-First Presbyterian Church in Weatherford with Rev. David Searfoss officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville.

Cornie Alexander died in 1904; Robert B. Alexander married second to A. M. Laughter on October 1, 1906 in Jackson County, Texas.

Mrs. Laughter was the former A. M. Moore who married R. F. Laughter on November 8, 1883 in Jackson County, Texas. She had at least two daughters with R. F.:

Alice Vernon Laughter
Pearl Laughter

Pearl's death certificate lists her mother's name as Alice M. Moore.

Robert was a fruit grower, 86 years old, widowed, and a 40-year resident of Weatherford, Texas when he died. Informant was Ralph Alexander; burial was March 15, 1951. Cotten-Bratton of Weatherford, Texas was in charge of arrangements.
