WAGNER, WILLIAM—William Wagner, a resident of the Geneva community many years, was found dead in his bed Monday afternoon, February 2, 1948. He had not been well for some time, but had been around town as usual a couple of days before.

Mr. Wagner was born October 15, 1879, at Claytonia, Gage county, Nebraska, a son of Henry and Margaret Wagner. In 1892 the family moved to Fillmore county. Mr. Wagner devoted most of his life to farming, but retired and moved to Geneva about twenty-five years ago.

Mr. Wagner was a member of the Geneva Fire Department twenty years, and he had a great interest in all of the company's activities.
He is survived by three brothers, Tom of Geneva, Rob of Fremont and Lewis of Bennington.

Funeral services were held at the Hrubesky Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Thursday, February 5. Rev. Isaac Cassel officiated. Members of the fire department acted as pall bearers and other members attended in a body. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery
