Arthur worked part time at Plum Landing.
He is survived by his former wife and good friend, Mary Schaibley; four children, Pamela (Douglas) Porch of Aurora, Jana (Guy) Armstrong of Portland, Oregon, Jeff Schaibley of Morris and Jennifer Schaibley of Aurora; five grandchildren, Erika (Mike) McClain of Sheridan, Joseph Hansen of Plano, Ryan Schaibley of Aurora, Jeffrey and Keith Schaibley of Morris; four brothers, Bob, Don, Larry and John Schaibley; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alana and Oscar Schaibley; a sister Louise Wikkiser; and two brothers, Jerry and Billy Schaibley.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2002 at 12:00 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 218 E. Benton St., Aurora, IL. Rev. William Burden will officiate. Interment will be private.
