Occupational therapist loved to travel
Krista Mazurkevich Fracalossi, 41, of 97 Cameltown Hill Road, Danville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, in Geisinger Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Krista was born in Bloomsburg Sept. 20, 1969, to John and Mary (Collier) Mazurkevich.
She was a 1987 graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School, and a 1991 graduate of Elizabethtown College, where she earned a B.S. in occupational therapy.
She was a former member of Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, and a member of the Association of Occupational Therapists.
Krista was married to Mark Fracalossi.
She loved to travel and do crafts. Her greatest love and lifetime ambition was to help others. She worked as an occupational therapist in various area medical and nursing centers.
Survivors include her husband and parents; her brother John and his wife, Janice Mazurkevich; sister Susan and her husband, Steve Katch, as well as nieces and nephews: Jonathon and Jilian Mazurkevich, Courtney, Stephen and Derek Katch, and Sean, Ryan and Gia Fracalossi.
A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, with Father Michael Hutsko officiating. Parastas will be prayed at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Ray W. Rothermel Funeral Home, 387 W. Valley Ave., Elysburg. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. in the Ray W. Rothermel Funeral Home, Elysburg. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap.
Family will provide flowers; memorials may be sent to Janet Weis Children's Hospital, Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
