Former Clinton resident Elizabeth Pierce, 88 years old, died Sunday in the Doctors Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona at 2:00 p.m. She resided in Arizona at 3227 North 20th Place for the past four years.
Mrs. Pierce was married to William Pierce, who died February 13, 1955. Born in Clinton August 14, 1889, she was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Clinton and a 67-year member of the Jerusalem Chapter # 254, Order of Eastern Star. Her parents were William S. and Ann Burton Bell
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Foncannon of Phoenix and Mrs. Mary Estil of Hampton, VA; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, John Bell of Clinton, and a sister Mrs. Faye Longo of Terre Haute.
The body will be returned to Clinton to Frist Funeral home where funeral arrangements are pending.
