The Union, Sacramento, Cal, December 12, 1918. Those Who Died For Freedom. Thirty-one Butte Boys Made Supreme Sacrifice to Make World Better. Special to the Union, Oroville, Butte Co., Dec 11. – A list of thirty-one names of soldiers and sailors from Butte county who have given their lives to their country in the present war has been completed.

The list is as follows: Killed in action – Wyatt Arbuckle, Chico ..."

Chico Record, Sunday Morning, October 2, 1921, pg 1 col 4: Arbuckle Funeral Is Postponed One Week. The funeral of Wyatt L. Arbuckle, son of Mr. and Mrs. D.G. Arbuckle and hero of the world war, has been postponed one week and will be held next Sunday. The postponement was caused by the fact that Arbuckle's father, who has been on a hunting expedition in Modoc, Shasta and Siskiyou counties for the past three weeks, could not be located in time to attend the services, which were to be held today.

20-year-old Wyatt L. Arbuckle was interred, per the Chico Cemetery Association Records, in the plot noted, on October 9, 1921.
