Luther Wesley Hester, 76, Russellville,Alabama, died Wednesday, May 22,2002, at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Hester, lived all his life in Franklin County and was a member of Russellville Church of Christ. He was retired from Reynolds Metals Company,with 20 years of service.
The funeral will be at 11 am, Saturday, May 25, 2002 at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel, Russellville, with brother Bill Pennington and Brother Matt Hall officiating.Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 pm today at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Eley Hester, Russellville, Al., ; son, David Hester and wife, Jean, Russellville, Al. ; daughter, Cheryl Hester Ridgeway, Jackson, Tenn.; sisters, Jean Washburn, Muscle Shoals, Al., Viva James, Russellville, Al., Mildred Taylor; Colbert Heights, Al. ; grandchildren, Ry Ridgeway, Cody Ridgeway and Kara Ridgeway ; step-grandchildren, Heather Godwin and Jessica Godwin.
Pallbearers will be George Humphries, Wayne Hester, Keith Massey, Buster Wilson, Paul Swinney, and. Bobby Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parenrs, Ernest and Pearl Hester, brother, Clarence Hester ; and sisters, Mable Wells, and Vera DeVaney.
