According to his Washington State death certificate, "Frank Jannsens Johnson's" father had the surname Janssens. He was a rancher. His wife was named Jeannette.

"Old Settler Passes Away


Frank Johnson, a native of Belgium, died at his home at O'Brien last Friday, December 30, 1921, after a short illness. Deceased was one of the old time residents of the valley having lived here since 1889. He was born June 21, 1848 and went to France in 1878. He came to the valley in 1889, ... on a farm near O'Brien, where he has lived ever since. He was one of the best known men in the valley, having many friends.


Funeral services were conducted from the Catholic church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock and the remains interred in the Kent cemetery.


Besides the widow, Mrs. Jeannette, he leaves two sons and six daughters, Frank of Omaha, Neb., Adolph of O'Brien, Mrs. Mary Nelson of Kent, Mrs. Eugenia Schatz of Seattle, Mrs. Elizabeth De Smet of Kent,...and Mrs. Adrienne Avery of Seattle(hard to read, two more names of daughters)"
