Mae Compton Alred, nee Dunlap 69, formerly
of East St. Louis, die Monday, May 30, 1988.
She was a retired Laborer for Belleville Shoe
Company from 1976-1986 and a Waitress at
Beef & Bu? Restaurant in East St. Louis
from 1951-1976.

Preceding her in death were two husbands,
Albert B. Compton and Edward Alred in 1969.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law,
Albert and Ruth Compton of Fairview Heights,
Louis E. Alred of Fairmont City:
two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary and
Lawrence Bennett of Collinsville, Sara Fulton
of Clearwater, Fla; her mother, Nora Powell
of Olney, Ill; a sister, Violet Harmon of
Olney, Ill: ten grandchildren and seven
great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday at the Kassly Colonia Chapel,
Fairview Heights with Rev Donal Sabbert
officiating. Burial will be in Lake View
Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at
the funeral home.
