Charles E. Poole, for many years a merchant at Adamstown and who for the past five years has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Edward Freeman, in Washington, died suddenly there about 11 o'clock, Wednesday night, of a heart attack. He was 80 years of age.

Surviving are the following children, Vernon Poole, Adamstown; Mrs. Edward Freeman, Washington; and Hays Poole, Tennessee, and several grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced when completed. C. E. Cline and Son, funeral directors.
