Archie A. Morgan, 74, of Sandyville, W.Va., died Friday at his home.
He was born at Ramp in Summers County, a son of the late Terrance George E. Morgan and Ollie Miller Morgan.
He was a store and merchant owner of the Morgan Exxon Station for 40 years in Sandyville. He belonged to the Methodist Church and was a World War II Veteran of the Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Morgan of Sandyville; two sons, Darrell F. Morgan of Beckley, and Dale A. Morgan of Ripley; four daughters, Carrel Brown of Sandyville, Norma Murray of Eagle Rock, Va., Dixie Casto of Evans and Nola Morgan at home; three sisters, Bernice Fox of Sandstone, Barbara Kincaid of Hinton, Belva Foster of Roanoke, Va.; 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arnold Morgan and Artie Morgan, and a grandchild.
The funeral will be held a the Parsons Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley, Sunday, 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery in Sandyville with the Rev. Lawrence Conger, Jr. officiating.
