Born Nov. 30, 1923, in Beartown, near Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mabel Flannery Rowland.
She attended Wayside Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Md.
From 1950 until retiring in 1971, she worked on the assembly line at Gettysburg Shoe Factory.
Mrs. Greene was a member of Blue Ridge Sportsmen's Association in Blue Ridge Summit and Fraternal Order of Eagles 1758 in Waynesboro.
She married Luther Martin Greene Sr. in 1944 in Highfield, Md. He died Feb. 16, 1970.
For 12 years, she resided on West Second Street.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Shirley of Waynesboro and Debbie Spessard of Hagerstown; three sons, Ronald and Daniel, both of Waynesboro, and Terry of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Enina Emory and Ruby Crilley, both of Waynesboro; three brothers, Emmert Rowland of Blue Ridge Summit, Raymond Rowland of Rouzerville and Kenneth Rowland of Waynesboro; nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a son in 1991, a sister and a brother.
Burial will be Friday in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
