Dad was born in Smyrna, Greece. He emmigrated to the United States on the ship Thermopylae from Greece through Ellis Island on July 9, 1914 when he was 8 years old. He came with his mother Maria and his older brother Nicolaos who was 10. He lived in New York City most of his adult life working for the famous Stork Club. He moved his family to California in 1956 and lived there until he passed in April, 1966.

Dad was the quintessential Greek host. He loved having huge parties at the apartment in Washington Heights with all his relatives and his cronies from The Stork Club. These parties sometimes lasted for days. In the summer he would have his relatives and friends visit the country place on Lake Osiris. Great bar-b-ques would be had in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Osiris. After moving to California the parties continued with his new relatives on Mom's side of the family, but Dad enjoyed them all just the same. Dad had some wonderful years in California, he often said the sunny weather and bouganvilla reminded him very much of Greece.

He has 3 surviving sons, James in Corona, CA, Steve in Everett, WA, and Frank in Olympia, WA.
