Chico Record (Chico, California) 01 Jun 1928, Friday Page 2: Joaquin Dutro, Aged 70, Dies. Joaquin Dutro, 70, died at his home on Eleventh avenue yesterday morning at 10 o’clock, following an illness of several months. He has been interested in farming an din stock dealing for many years. He was a native of the Azores Islands. He was a member of the I.D.E.S.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Mary Dutro; two daughters, Miss Alta Dutro and Mrs. Ruby Azevedo; one brother in Massachusetts, and two sisters Mrs. Annie Fernandes and Mrs. Mary P. Silva, of the Azores Islands.

The I.D.E.S. was in charge of a service for Mr. Dutro last night at the chapel of the Bicknell & Moore Funeral Home. A rosary will be held int eh same chapel tonight at 7:30, and high mass will be celebrated at 9 o’clock Saturday morning at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father James B. Dermody officiating. Burial will be in the Chico Cemetery.
