Adelaide Mott was born September 8, 1853 in Kinderhook Township, the daughter of Michael and Ann Hanford Mott, formerly of New York state. Adelaide married Sidney McNitt January 16, 1870 in Branch County, Michigan. She lived her life in Ovid Township before moving to Coldwater with her husband in 1915. She died September 16, 1935 at the age of 82 years.
