Pioneer Woman is Dead at Cambridge
Special to the Journal.
Cambridge, Feb. 17--Mrs. Anfinson, 85, widow of a Civil war veteran and one of the pioneer women of the community, died at her home just north of town Monday. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Norwegian Lutheran church with her pastor, Rev. Peter Buland in charge. The body was interred in the local cemetery by the side of her husband who died a few years ago.
Mrs. Anfinson, who had reached the advanced age of 85 years, 1 month and 12 days had been in poor health for a year and death was not unexpected.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. H. C. Johnson of near this place and Mrs. C. L. Berg of Clarion and six sons, all of whom are present at the funeral and served as pallbearers. The sons are Harry and Charles of near Clarion, Henry who made his home with the mother and Ole, Eli and Ed, all of near this place.
