Let Christians sing for joy, "They're safe on heaven's shore. They're with the Lord they loved. They're home forevermore."
Our hearts were saddened when Mary Alice Schmidt, 88, of Berwick, peacefully ended her journey in this life at 7:50 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She graduated from the former Nescopeck High School and later was employed by Sutters in Nescopeck and at AC&F, Berwick, where she met the love of her life, Jack Schmidt.
