She married Cosmo Damiani on July 23, 1906 in Italy, and started their family. Cosmo (38), Lucia (35) and five children immigrated from Bisceglie to America, arriving at Ellis Island from Naples on October 12, 1920 on the SS Providence. They came to Fresno, CA to be with Lucia's sister, Bettina Logoluso. Lucia's parents, brothers and sisters had also settled in Fresno, CA.
Cosmo was a shoemaker. Lucia was hospitalized, either on board ship or upon arrival. They both could read/write, and both had previously been to America, staying with Lucia's father, Vincenzo Logoluso.
