Albert Glucksnis, age 86, of Stratford, died on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabiltation Center. He was the husband of the late Olga (Costa) Glucksnis. Mr. Glucksnis had been employed by Norwalk Fabricators and Johnstone Industries. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by one son, James Glucksnis and his wife, Karen, of West Haven; one daughter, Janet Caliendo of Stratford; one brother, John Glucksnis; one sister, Aileen Muchunas; and two grandchildren, Hope and Philip Caliendo. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 10 a.m. the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, with Rev. Dennis Rhodes officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society , 372 Danbury Rd., Wilton, CT 06897.
