Mrs. Pauline Hemb, 86, widow of Fred P. Hemb, and a former School Hill resident, died Sunday at Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton.
Before her recent hospitalization she had resided at Calumet Homestead in New Holstein for six years.

The former Pauline Zimmermann, she was born Nov. 18, 1892, in the town of Meeme a daughter of the late Herman and Caroline Lorfeld Zimmermann. On Nov. 9, 1912 she married Fred P. Hemb at St. John United church of Christ in Schwartzwald. The couple resided on the family farm until their retirement in 1947 when they moved to School Hill. Mr. Hemb died May 11, 1959. Mrs. Hemb was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Spring Valley and its Ladies Aid.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lester (Flora) Gersmehl of Manitowoc; two sons, Edwin of Howards Grove and Roland, Kiel; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Martha Hemb of Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by three sons and two brothers.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. James UCC, Spring Valley, with the Rev. Charles Barnes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. John UCC Cemetery, Schwartzwald.
