Martha Marie Hemb, 88, a former Village of Cleveland resident, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 20, 1990 at Appleton Medical Center.
Born March 23, 1901, in the Town of Meeme, she was a daughter of the late William and Caroline Lorfeld Zimmermann. On April 10, 1918 she was united in marriage to William Hemb. The couple resided in Manitowoc county, later moving to Manistique, Michigan and Marinette Wisconsin, where he was employed by Pauly and Pauly Cheese Company until retirement.
In 1957, the couple moved to Cleveland. Mr Hemb died April 4, 1969. She moved to Appleton three years ago. Mrs. Hemb was a member of St. Mark's United Church of christ, in the Town of Mosel and a past member of the Ladies Aid Society. She had also been a member of the Cleveland Senior Citizens.
Survivors are two daughters and one son-in-law, Mrs Vera Tesnow of Appleton; Mrs Caroline (Wilbur) Goeke, of Cleveland; one son and daughter-in-law, William and Jean Hemb. of Milwaukee; 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held 10 am Saturday morning at St. Mark's United Church of Christ, in the Town of Mosel. The Rev. William Kesting will officiate. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, in Manitowoc. Friends may call at Stoltenbert Funeral Chapels, in the Cleveland, Friday afternoon, from 4 pm to 8 pm.
