Willie T. Goodson

SINKS GROVE -- Willie T. Goodson, 72, died Sunday morning at the home of his son, Willie Keaton Goodson, in Pickaway, after a short illness.

Born June 6, 1908, in Abraham, he was a son of the late Will and Emma Bragg Goodson.

Mr. Goodson was a Baptist and retired farmer.

His wife, Lottie Mae Goodson, died in 1977.

Survivors include three sons, Willie Keaton Goodson of Pickaway, Carl Richard Goodson of Cyclone and Billy Ray Goodson of Lillydale; five daughters, Emma Whitecotton and Elzena Adkins, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. William (Margaret( Duggard of Beckley, Mrs. Marvin (Genetta) Honaker of Union and Mrs. Chester (Louella) Wills of MacArthur; a brother, Everette Goodson of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Brash of Beckley and Mrs. Bertie Meadows of Abraham; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley with the Rev. Robert Coburn officiating. Burial will be in Goodson Cemetery in Abraham.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
