Jean "Lady Bird" Wright, 83, of Cannonsburg, Ky., died Tuesday evening, Jan. 22, 2008, in Oakmont Manor Nursing Facility.
Mrs. Wright was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Louisa, Ky., a daughter of the late Andrew and Racheal Marcum Adkins.
Her husband, Lewis Wright, also preceded her in death.
She was the last surviving child of eight brothers and seven sisters.
She was a devoted homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are a son, Danny L. Wright and wife Pam of Cannonsburg; grandchildren Renee Wooten and husband Matthew of Burlington, Ky., Robert Lewis Wright and Eliza of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Danny Michael Wright and Maribeth of Ashland, Ky.; and three great-grandchildren, Allison Wooten, Jack Wooten and Abbey Wright.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Ed Caudill. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 24, 2008, at the funeral home.
