Donna M. Ream Anderson Roberds, 86, of Urbana, died at 11:15 A.M. Monday, July 12, 2010 in Hearth & Home, Urbana. She was born January 29, 1924 in Champaign County, a daughter of Pearl A. and Hallie A. (Pullins) Ream.
Donna was a 1942 Salem High School graduate, attended First Baptist Church, Springfield, OH, retired from Federal Selective Service and Ridgewood Nursing Home in Springfield, and enjoyed square dancing and sewing.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Sue Shelpman and her husband Ted of Mechanicsburg, stepdaughters, Linda Massie and her husband Stephen of Springfield and Sandy Shirk of Springfield, granddaughters, Michelle Lee Gansman of Fletcher, NC and Alisha Anderson Caudle and her husband Terry of Hendersonville, NC, step granddaughters, Stephanie Reigel and her husband Rob of Plattsburg, OH, and Samantha Kaylor, both of Springfield, step grandsons, Jeff Massie and his wife Heidi of Morrisville, IL and Rex Mobley of Springfield, OH, great grandchildren, Christian and Dakota Dockins, Patrick Gansman and Peyton Caudle, and six step great grandchildren, sisters, Thelma Channell and her husband John of Urbana and Martha Oelker and her husband Jack of Urbana, brother, Melvin Ream and his wife Gayle of Mooresville, IN and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin E. Roberds, two sons, Jerry and Jim Anderson, her parents, and a brother George Ream.
The family will receive friends 9:30-10:30 A.M. Saturday, July 17, 2010 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main Street, Urbana where a celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 A.M with Rev. Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
Pallbearers will be Tom Channell, John Channell, Don Channell, Christopher Byers, Mike Wray and Shawn Bailey.
Family and friends are invited to the Urbana Moose Lodge for a celebration following the burial.
