"Recent Deaths. MRS. WILLIAM L. ANDERSON. Grottoes — Mrs. Cornelia Lotts Anderson, 48, wife of William L. Anderson and a native of Rockbridge County, died unexpectedly at her home here last November 27. She was the daughter, of the late John and Rachael Sweet Lotts, and was born on June 7, 1909, in Rockbridge County, where she had spent the early years of her life. She had been a resident of this community for a number of years. She was a member of the Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, George Anderson, Grottoes; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Hensley, Harrisonburg; four brothers, Alec Lotts. Lexington; Tom Lotts, Rockbridge County; Elmer Lotts, New Hope, and Roy Lotts, Newport; three sisters, Miss Lula Lotts and Mrs. Annie Thornton, both of Rockbridge County; and Mrs. Bessie Kirby, Lexington; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. H. Ruffner Lowman, Jr. Burial was in the New Providence Cemetery."
