Raleigh Hunter, 18, Dies Of Gun Accident Wounds

A Raleigh County youth died in Charleston Memorial Hospital today of a gunshot wound suffered Saturday on a hunting trip near his home.

Cecil Bragg, 18, of Abraham, near Beckley, had been in critical condition since the accident.

Authorities said a shotgun carried by the victim's brother accidentally discharged with the pellets striking Bragg.

Bragg was the third hunter to die within a week as a result of mishaps associated with hunting. A St. Albans man shot while quail hunting and a Virginia
man drowned near Princeton while duck hunting.

Bragg, 18, of Shady Spring, died Thursday in Charleston Memorial Hospital of a gunshot wound received while hunting Nov. 25. Friends may call at Keyser-Bryant Funeral Home in Beckley after 3 p. m. today.
