BUXTON, N.C. - Mrs. Courtney Scarborough, 78, died Saturday, [Oct. 14, 1978] in De Paul Hospital. She was a native of Hatteras and the wife of William Lloyd Scarborough. She was a member of Buxton United Methodist Church.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Midgett of Virginia Beach; a son, James Buren Scarborough of Virginia Beach; and a sister, Miss Judith Gaskill of Ocracoke.

A funeral will be held Monday in Buxton United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Quidley Cemetery.
