DELTA A. Margaret Cooper, 91, died on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the Barbara J. Egan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Shrewsbury. She had shared 62 years of marriage with her husband, James Percy Cooper, who passed away on January 5, 2005. Born on July 12, 1921, in Pylesville, Md., she was a daughter of the late Charles G. and Lena B. (Yost) Keesee. Margaret was a very dedicated and loving wife, mother and Mom-Mom. She graduated from the former Slate Ridge High School in Whiteford in the class of 1939. Margaret had worked as a sewing machine operator and became a full time homemaker after her marriage to Percy. Margaret was a member of the Delta Homemakers Group for nearly 50 years and a longtime member of the Delta United Methodist Church. Well known throughout the area for her excellent cooking, she enjoyed gardening, flowers and crafts. Margaret is survived by four children, James E. Cooper of Delta, Janet C. Evans and her husband, Bob, also of Delta, Gary D. Cooper of Stewartstown, and Nancy J. Olchewsky and her husband, David of Street, Md.; five grandchildren, Jeff Evans, Mike Evans and his wife, Deb; Kevin Olchewsky; Kyle Olchewsky; Laura Olchewsky; three great-granddaughters, Katelyn Evans, Karina Evans and Krystine Evans; two sisters, Lena May Bedford of Wilmington, Del., and Hazel McGurk of York. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Keesee and Thelma Clark;and three brothers, Fred Keesee, Jennings Keesee and John Keesee. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, 962 Flintville Road, Delta, with her pastor, Reverend Judith L. Walker officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Delta United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 445, Delta, PA 17314.
