John Andrew Wenzel, aged 50, Rural Route 2, Marshfield, Wisconsin died at 4:20am, June 2, 1950, in the barn of the Wood County Hospital. Death was caused by a heart attack.
Funeral Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity English Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles Witt officiating. Burial was made in Hillside Cemetery.
The body was held in repose at the Rembs Funeral home from Friday, June 2, until Sunday, June 4th, at 12:30pm, when it was taken to the church, to remain until the time of services.
Mr. Wenzel was born January 4, 1900, in Marshfield. He received his education in the Hewitt parochial school, and had been a resident in the vicinity of Marshfield all his life. For 18 years he had worked as farm superintendent at the County Hospital.
He was married to Thelma Mae Bump, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc. in 1923.
At the time of his passing, he was survived by his wife; the following children; Mrs Roy (Lila) Heckel, Nekoosa; Mrs. George (Marian) Adams; Milwaukee; Richard, Marshfield; and James, Wayne, Margaret, and Dale, at home; two grandchildren; six brothers; Mike, addresss unknown, Joe, Henry, Ed, and Bill, Marshfield; Robert, Spencer; and three sisters; Mrs. Anna Feirer and Miss Mary Wenzel, Marshfield; and Sister Mary Catherine, St. Elizabeth Nursing School, Milwaukee.
His parents, Michael Wenzel and Josephine (Hoffman) Wenzel, and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral rites for John Andrew Wenzel, who died Friday, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Charles Witt officiating. Burial was made in Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roman Mrotek, Loren Axelson, John Finnegan, Albert Dekarske, Fred Reek and Joe Hoffman.
