Paris Cooper was married to Elizabeth Jane Cooper.
His parents were: Col. Robert Melville Cooper and Catherine Cooper.
Paris Cooper was a handsome young man with a mustache which became a heavy flowing beard in later life. He was blonde with light hair, and his wife was also fair and of average size. They were a devoted family and he was a sensitive man, keeping in close touch with his family and friends. He kept meticulous records of the deaths of his family and friends and these records have been a valuable part of this research.

He was active in the Masonic Lodge and his wife, Elizabeth J. Cooper was active in the Eastern Star, and their sons were outstanding in the Masonic Order.

Although he did not serve in the Civil War, he had two sons who served, his eldest John Hamilton and Jonathan Melville. The latter applied for a pension in the State of Texas.
