Clarence D. Laux, 77, a retired Town of Schleswig farmer, died Thursday at his home. Born on Dec. 13, 1896 in the town of Schleswig, a son of the late Peter and Bertha Tagge Laux, he attended the district school and the Plymouth Business College. Mr. Laux farmed in the township his entire life and served on the district school board for many years. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Town of Herman.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Cecil Mabson, Plymouth, Miss Roma Laux, Town of Schleswig, and Mrs. Edgar Kraemer, Sheboygan, and a brother, Harvey, Town of Schleswig.
Funeral services will be held Monday at St. John UCC, with the Rev. Dean Roy Miller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
