Charles H. Cornell

Rockwood - Charles Henry Cornell, 84, who lived with his daughter; Mrs. Henry Rager of 23256 W. Ditner Dr., Rockwood, died at 5:15 p.m. yesterday in Seaway hospital, Trenton. Mr. Cornell had been a patient in the hospital since Dec 31.

Services will be held in Germfask, Mich. The body was taken from the Clark H. Ford Funeral Home in Rockwood to Beaulieu's Funeral Home in Newberry, Mich.

The son of William F. and Sarah (Butler) Cornell, he was born Nov. 5, 1884, in Sarnia Ontario. He married Sarah Decker June 12, 1932, in Germfask. She died March 22, 1951. He was a retired maintenance employee for the Schoolcraft County Road Commission.

Surviving are 3 sons, Frances Cornell of Flat Rock, James Cornell of Garden City and Cecil Cornell of Newberry; 2 daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Ellen) Nesler of Flat Rock and Mrs. Henry (Mary Ann) Ranger of Rockwood; a brother, Geroge Cornell of Manistique; 2 sisters, Mrs. Francis Blissard of Manistique and Mrs. Kathleen England of Germfask; 14 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
