Edith Simmons Rouner, 93, widow of Guy Todd Rouner, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004 at Pepper Hill Nursing Home in Aiken.
Born in Petroleum, W. Va., she was a daughter of the late Preston and Winnerfred Kerns Simmons. She was a practical nurse, a seamstress, a farmers wife and a cook and was also formerly employed by Fenton Glass in West Virginia. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Loretta Moses of Greenwood; a sister, Nina Whipkey of Grantsville, W. Va.; two brothers, Marion Simmons of Poca, W. Va., and Preston Simmons, Jr. of California; 11 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev.Ron Taylor.
