Dorothy worked as a bartender in Madison at "The Eagles Crest" for 20 years, "Eddies Tap" and "The Tip Top", where she had many friends.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth Friede; five sons, James (Becky) Friede of Madison, Eugene (Philana) Friede of McFarland, Paul Friede of Madison, Kenneth "Skip" (Pamela) Friede of Madison, South Dakota and Mark (Sherri) Friede of Cottage Grove; four daughters, Deborah (Terry) Wilcox of Cottage Grove, Konoa Friede of Sun Prairie, Kelly (Terry) Friede and Kimberly (Jamie) Tlugum of Madison; 9 grandsons; 7 granddaughters; her stepmother Alice Adams of Madison; a brother Robert (Lorraine) Adams of Mineral Point, Don Adams (Judy) of LaFarge, WI, Jack (Jeanne) Cooper of TX, Jerry and Bob (Rose) Cooper of Madison, WI, sisters, Margaret (Virgil) Normington of Oregon, Betty (Charlie) Hurst of Yakima, WA , Marion Roberts of California; Cathi (Bob) Fischer of Centerville, OH, Beverly (James) Mosel, Mary Jane (Ron) Melvin and Janet (Ben) Melvin all of Madison;
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Kenneth and Grover Adams; sister's Alice Agnes Adams and Wauneta Gray/Peck; a grandson Kenneth Friede; and a very special Aunt Pearl Brown.
