Jerry Randall Mounce, 63 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, January 30th, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on April 25th, 1947, son of the late Delbert Mounce and Lora Baker Mounce. He was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith.
He was survived by his companion, Nancy Sue Barnes of Somerset, Kentucky; one son, Jerry Anthony Mounce of Texas; four daughters, Tonya Barnes of Monticello, Kentucky, Donna Barnes of Mobile, Aabama, Kelli Richardson and Rhonda Phelps, both of Somerset, Kentucky; one brother, Vernon B. Mounce of Somerset, Kentucky; three sisters, Ruby Garrett of Flatrock, Indiana, Margie Murphy and Juanita Bowlin, both of Somerset, Kentucky; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Lora Mounce; four brothers, Norman Mounce, Hershel Mounce, J.C. Wells and Ivan Mounce; one sister, Evander Wells; and one great-grandchild, Alexander Bolen.
Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4th, 2011 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5th, 2011 in the Chapel of the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Whitis and Bro. Joe Whitis officiating.
Burial followed in the Providence Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
