Retta White, 85, of Russell, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2011, in Kingsbrook Lifecare Center in Ashland.
Mrs. White was born June 19, 1925, in Flatwoods, a daughter of the late Arthur "A.R." and Ruth Jarrett Taylor.
She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Raceland.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil "Pete" White, one daughter, Jerri Beth Horn, one sister, Agnes Waters, and five brothers, Charles Taylor, Howard Taylor, Mark Taylor, Marion Taylor and Jim Taylor.
Surviving are one daughter and her husband, Robin and Ronnie Boggs of Russell, one son and his wife, the Rev. Greg and Nancy White of Canton, Ill., one sister, Mollie Evans of Russell, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland by the Rev. Greg White and the Rev. Bryan White. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
