Charley McCune, 81, of Massillon, Ohio, died Wednesday, Mar. 10, 2004, at Massillon Community Hospital.

He was born in Orma, the son of the late Ellsworth and Myrtle Duncan McCune.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and was retired as a scarfer from the former Republic Steel Corp. with 34 years of service. He was a member of Massillon Baptist Temple.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane Parker and Dolores Crannell, both of Massillon; three sons, Charles L. McCune of Massillon, Timothy P. McCune of Bolivar, Ohio, and Delbert L. McCune of Belgium; two sisters, Leomel Isenhart of West Virginia and Alma Bingham of Wadsworth, Ohio; one brother, Denver McCune of Spencer; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and special friend, Lucille Elbert of Massillon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna L. McCune, on Apr. 10, 2002; one brother; and three sisters.

Services were held at Atkinson-Feucht-Shaidnagle Funeral Home, Massillon, with Rev. W. Jay Dolvin officiating. Burial was in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens with military rites.
