She was born in Knott County, Kentucky on June 3, 1900 to William Jefferson Chaffins and Emmaline Hicks Chaffins.

She is survived by 3 sons: Ireland (Olive) Conley, Mont (Ann) Conley and Hubert (Cassie) Conley; daughter-in-law: Artie Conley; sister: Thelma Chaffins; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by 1 son: Elmer Conley; 1 daughter: Girlie Chaffins.
