The Rev. Leon Nicholson, 54, of 211 Marvin Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 1994, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Valley Church, with the Revs. Max Pendleton, Jeff McWatters and Jerry Lethco officiating. Burial will be at the church cemtery.
Born in Danville, Va., Rev. Nicholson was pastor of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He had served at French Broad Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC, Faith Baptist Church in Bessemer City, NC and Fraley Memorial Baptist Church in Smyre NC.
He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, the York Baptist Association and the South Carolina Ministerial Association. He had taught the June Sunday School lesson on Rock Hill Christian Radio WHVN.
Surviving are his wfie, Gail Gregory Nicholson; his son, Gregory Leon Nicholson of Fort Mill; his daughter, Lisa Nicholson Strepp of Hendersonville; his father, John Newton Nicholson of Dallas, NC; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the Fellowship Hall of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, and other times at the home.
