Edwin Ray Tinney, 82, of Summersville died June 5, 2001, at his home. Born March 7, 1919, at Little Birch, Braxton County, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Samantha Long Tinney. He was saved and was a retired coal miner. Survivors include his wife, Eloise Canfield Tinney; seven sons, Raymond of Summersville, Charles of Bedford, Ky., William, Ronnie, Don and Rex, all of Widen, Steve of Triangle, Va.; four daughters, Sandra Graham and Melinda Shadows, both of Stafford, Va., Janes Casto of Woodbridge, Va., Anna Hill of Triangle, Va.; two brothers, Dale of Fairmont, Eugene of Litchfield, Ohio; one sister, Retta Dean of Cleveland, Ohio; one half sister, Leah Rapp of Bomont; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
