Funeral services for Korley Davis age 11 of the Wheel Community will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday Feb. 5, 2011 at the First Baptist Church with Jason Porter, Tom Henry, Doug Dezotell and Robert Talley officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in the Wheel Community. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Shelbyville.
Born February 4, 1999 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., she is the daughter of Donald & Becky Davis. She was a 6th grade student at Liberty School and was an avid sports fan even though she was unable to participate because of her health. This past basketball season she was chosen as Liberty School's only 6th grade homecoming attendant. She was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her sisters, Kaitlin, Khloe Davis & Jade Segroves Grandparents Harvell & Clara Mae Davis of Wheel, Donnie & Pasty Porter of Ledford Mill, Uncles Jimmy Sanders, Jason Porter, Josh Porter & Jared Porter. Great grandmothers, Lucille Davis, Frances Snell & Margaret Meacham.
Memorials may be made to the Korley Davis Benefit accounts at Ascend Federal Credit Union 1900 N. Main St. or Peoples Bank of Bedford Co. 1122 N. Main St.
