Born in Saxis, she was the daughter of the late Lodie Linton and Clara Thomas Linton. She was a housewife: a member of Saxis United Methodist Church and Roxanna Senior Citizen Center.
Funeral services were held at Saxis United Methodist Church, Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Ned Van Dyke. Interment was in Justis Cemetery, Saxis.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by six children, Herman Bailey Jr. of Belle Haven, Frank Bailey of Delmar, Md., Orville Bailey of Frankford, Theodore R. (Timmy) Bailey of Abingdon, Md., Lodie Bailey of Saxis and Jimmy Bailey of Exmore; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, Teagle and Billy Bailey.
