Mrs. Clara Thomas Linton, 82, formerly of Saxis died Monday. Her husband was the late Lody Linton and her parents the late Alonzo and Martha Marshall Thomas of Saxis of which she was a native.
She is survived by two daughters. Mrs. John D. Chelton of Accomac and Mrs. Herman Bailey Sr. of Saxis and a son, Maylean Linton of Hampton; 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were to be held at Justis Cemetery, Saxis, conducted by the Rev. Herbert Hall and the Rev. Robert Colette.
